A notebook, minus the subscription

Workout trackers keep moving the basics behind a subscription. Rep does the part you use at the rack, for free: what did I lift last time, and did I beat it?

Three taps a set

Pick the exercise, check the numbers, tap Log set. Weight and reps are filled in from your last set.

Last time, right there

Your previous session for the exercise is shown above the log button, with your best ever under it.

PRs as they happen

Heaviest weight and best estimated one-rep max are flagged the moment you log them.

Progress charts

Best set, estimated 1RM and volume per session for every exercise, with a table view.

Built for the gym floor

Big buttons, a rest timer that vibrates when it is done, and it works without signal once loaded.

Your data, exportable

Download a full backup or a CSV for spreadsheets. Import it on a new phone.

Questions

Is Rep a free alternative to the Strong app?

For logging sets, seeing last time and tracking PRs, yes. Rep is free with no subscription and no account. It does not have social features or coaching plans.

Does Rep work offline?

Once the page has loaded, logging works without signal. Your sets are saved in your browser on your phone.

Can I use pounds?

Yes. Switch between kg and lb in Settings & backup. Everything is stored in kg and shown in your unit, so switching never changes your history.

How is the estimated 1RM worked out?

With the Epley formula: weight x (1 + reps / 30). It is an estimate for tracking progress, not a test result.

How do I move my log to a new phone?

Go to Settings & backup, export a JSON backup, then import that file on the new phone.
